Ruud Houweling heeft een naam opgebouwd als een van Nederlands meest oorspronkelijke songwriters met een genre overstijgend geluid waarin Europese folk en klassieke elementen doorklinken. Ook componeert en produceert hij muziek in opdracht voor de NPO. Zijn songs werden opgenomen door nationale en internationale artiesten op albums die in diverse landen de gouden en platina status behaalden.

Met altviolist Ro Krauss brengt hij hoofdzakelijk liedjes van zijn meest recente album Accidental Pictures. Zonder de drums, blazers en strijkers die op zijn platen een belangrijke rol spelen, maar ook in deze dynamische, pure vorm komt het materiaal goed tot zijn recht. Ro Krauss was 20 jaar een drijvende kracht achter De Wereldband/Släpstick en speelde o.a. bij Wende, Joost Spijkers en Spinvis. De songs worden omlijst met verhalen over de totstandkoming ervan.

Ruud Houweling has built a name for himself as one of the Netherlands’ most authentic songwriters, with a genre-transcending sound in which European folk and classical elements resonate. But also as a composer for Dutch public broadcasting NPO (national television). His songs have been recorded by national and international artists with gold and platinum awards in various countries. 

With violist Ro Krauss, he performs mainly songs from his most recent album, Accidental Pictures. Without the drums, wind instruments, and strings that play an important role on his records, the material comes into its own even in this dynamic, pure form. Ro Krauss was a driving force behind De Wereldband/Släpstick for 20 years and has played with Wende, Joost Spijkers, and Spinvis, among others. The songs are framed by stories about their creation.
